ANDREW ALLEN RUSSELL, son of the late Harry and Mae Bolton Russell, was born August 14, 1952 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia and departed this life February 18, 2026 in VCU-MCV Hospital in Richmond, Virginia.

At an early age Andrew was baptized at Silone Baptist Church, Chase City, VA and attended Williams Grove Baptist Church, Chase City, Virginia with his family. He also attended Mecklenburg County Public Schools.

Drew as he was affectionately called, worked at Wal-Mart in Oxford, NC for many years. He later became an entrepreneur by starting his own Lawn Care Business and did it with much pride until he became disabled.

Drew was married to Diane Henderson on August 10, 2010. In his spare time, he adored fishing, riding motorcycles, listening to all kinds of music, and he just loved to be around people to have fun.

Drew leaves to mourn his wife- Diane Henderson Russell of the home; three children- Jarrell Russell of South Hill, VA; Andrew Russell, Jr. of Brodnax, VA and Letresa Easter of LaCrosse, VA; two step-sons, Tracey Wimbish and Cedric Henderson, both of Henderson, NC; numerous grandchildren; sister- Carolyn Russell of Farmville, VA; father-in-law, Reverend Elijah Henderson of Henderson, NC; devoted friends- Ernest White and Reverend Earl Walker; his best friend “Jack” the dog; several aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends.
