MR. CHARLES FITZGERALD CARTER, son of the late Charlie F. and Deloris Hardy Carter, was born July 11, 1964 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia and departed this life December 2, 2024 at TriCities Hospital Hopewell, Virginia. He was also preceded in death by his brother- Martin Chrystle Carter.
At an early age he was baptized and joined New Grove Baptist Church, Kenbridge, Virginia. He was a 1980 graduate of the former Central High School.
Charles held several jobs in the community, to name a few- brick masonry, carpentry work, and helped his father on the farm. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, playing his guitar, and riding around visiting family and friends.
Charles is survived by two brothers- Wendell (Kathe) Carter of Petersburg, VA and Lilton
(Felecia) Carter of Chesterfield, VA; two sisters- Patricia (Rev. Charles) Davis and Darlene (Ronnie) Peterson, all of Prince George, VA, and Gazelle Carter of Long Beach, CA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
