MR. CHARLES WILLIAM SMITH, JR, affectionately called “Boo,” was born September 30, 1967, to the late Charles William Smith, Sr. and Nettie Lee Revis Gregory and quietly departed this life October 3, 2026, in Petersburg, VA at his residence.

At an early age he was baptized and joined Temple Gate RZUA Church, South Hill, VA. He was a graduate of Park View Senior High School.

Charles later moved to Danville, VA and eventually settled in Petersburg, VA. He was employed at Bon Secours Southside Medical Center. There he found not just co-workers, but family and friends he loved deeply and truly dedicated to them. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

Charles leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted sister- Geneva Smith Butler and brother-in-law Jerome of Clinton, MD and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
