MR. CHRIS EDWARD JONES, son of Grace W. Jones and the late Willie Edward Jones, was born February 5, 1968 in Mecklenburg County, VA and departed this life November 3, 2023 in VCU-MCV Hospital, Richmond, VA. He was also preceded in death by two brothers- Joseph and Gary Jones.

At an early age he was baptized at Pilgrims Baptist Church, Nyack, NY. Chris was a graduate of Nyack Senior High School, Nyack, NY. He later attended B.O.C.E.S. school for Carpentry and Apex for Auto Mechanic.

Chris was employed by Rockland County Sewage Systems. He later started his own business- C E J, Inc. where he installed overhead garage doors in Spring Valley, NY. He also drove a tractor trailer until he became disabled and lastly worked part-time for Rent-Equip, South Hill, VA.

In his spare time Chris worked on cars, did carpentry work, D J for gatherings, and enjoyed watching his favorite football team the Dallas Cowboys.

Chris leaves to cherish his memories his four children- Krystle (Kevin) Fuller, Brooklyn, NY; Dannielle Jones, Dominican Republic; Aaron Jones, Newburg, NY and Taylor Jones, East Orange, NJ; two grandchildren- Aaliyah Jones, Newburg, NY and Karter Fuller, Brooklyn, NY; mother- Grace W. Jones, Brodnax, VA; Ex-wife- Shirley Thomas, Kennesaw, GA; one brother- Anthony (Melissa) Jones, San Antonio, Texas; three sisters- Nancy Jones, Bronx, NY; Sharon Jones, San Antonio, TX and Krystle Jones, Chester, VA; two uncles- Milton Crutchfield, Bracey, VA and William Bragg, Brodnax, VA; devoted friends- Sharlene Satterfield, Edward Jones, Tony McMillian, Terry Fox, Vernon Smith, and Kevin Thomason; four nephews, four nieces; devoted cousin- Shaneka Bragg, and a host of other relatives and friends.
