MR. CURTIS GAYLES, SR, son of the late Harry Gayles, Sr and Juanita A. Terry Gayles was born June 3, 1958 in Virginia and departed this life December 21, 2022 at his residence, Blackridge, VA. He was also preceded in death by a brother- Harry Gayles, Jr.

Curtis attended the Mecklenburg County Public Schools. He was married to Linda Holmes and they were blessed with four children.

Curtis was employed as a mechanic for many years until his health began to fail.

Curtis leaves to mourn six children- Antonio (Norita) Gayles of Chesterfield, VA; Antoine (Shannon) Gayles of Varina, VA; Demetri Gayles of the home; Curtis (Keona) Gayles, Jr. of Richmond, VA; Kadasha and Taivon Gayles of the home; six siblings- Delores Hayes of NJ; Herman Gayles of Hopewell, VA; Barbara Ogburn of South Hill, VA; Willie Gayles of Richmond, VA; Cornell Gayles of California and Ronnie Gayles of Richmond, VA, and a host of other relatives and friends.
