DARYL LAMONT BOYD, son of Cecilia Boyd Rainey and the late Felix Dunson, Jr. was born January 21, 1977 in Richmond, VA and departed this life May 19, 2025 at his residence in Bracey, VA. He was also preceded in death by his brother- Timothy Boyd.

At an early age he was baptized and joined Roanoke Zion RZUA Church, Bracey, VA. He attended Park View Senior High School.

He was employed by South Hill Verneer for many years until he became disabled.

In his spare time, he liked to “party like a rock star.” He loved his sneakers and his outfits had to match his sneakers. He gave unselfishly to all.

Daryl leaves to cherish his memory his devoted mother- Cecila Boyd Rainey of the home; son- Daqwon Thorne (Deja Jones) Fredericksburg, VA; 2 grandchildren- Carter and Saidyn Thorne; 4 brothers- Charlie Harris, Richmond, VA; Felix Boyd, Atlanta, GA; Corey Clements, Arlington, VA and Terrence Clements, Blackridge, VA; 8 aunts- Sylvia Boyd and Karen (Vernon) Smith, all of Brodnax, VA; Sharron Clary (Carl) LaCrosse, VA; Josephine Boyd, Columbia, SC; Delphine (Harold) Fleming, Raleigh, NC; Ethel Williams (Vernon), New Kent, VA; Faye Gause, Charlotte, NC and Vernice (Bud) Baskerville, Boydton, VA; devoted caregiver- Katrina Boutte; devoted friends- Marcia “Linda “Harris, Edward Lee House, Charlie Dunson, and Rockell Thorne; devoted cousin- Byrd Boyd the only one he would listen to, and a host of nieces, nephews, other cousins and friends.
