MRS. DEBBIE NAOMI JONES TISDALE, daughter of the late Chesley Osburne and Emily Mae Stone Jones, was born March 17, 1955 in Mecklenburg County, VA and departed this life February 11, 2024 at her residence in South Hill, VA. She was also preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Edna Gray Phillips; two brothers-Chesley O. Jones, Jr. and Lawrence W. Jones.
At an early age she was baptized and joined Whittle Grove Baptist Church. Debbie was a 1973 graduate of the former Park View Senior High School. She was also a drum majorette and served as Home Coming Queen.
On August 14, 1987 Debbie married Willie Ben Tisdale and to this union three children were born; a daughter- Taneisha Michelle preceded her in death. She accompanied her husband around the world while he was serving his country, to name a few- Germany, El Paso, TX and others.
After her husband retired they moved back to Virginia in 1995. She reaffirmed her membership with Whittle Grove Baptist where she served as an Usher and Missionary.
Debbie retired from Walmart as an Assistant Manager and later worked for Jackson-Hewitt as an Office Manager.
In her spare time she enjoyed her family and friends, her grandchildren which were her heart and joy, working in her flower garden, listening to Gospel music, and shopping.
Debbie leaves to cherish her memory: her husband- Willie Ben Tisdale of the home; two daughters- Keisha Antwanette Jones (Kent), Richmond, VA and Katrina Nerissa Tisdale (Stacey), South Hill, VA; two sons- Tavlyn Kentrice Tisdale, South Hill, VA and Keenon Demond Tisdale (Taneshia), Fayetteville, NC; three granddaughters- Chasity Desjarnie Jones, Jakiyah Marks, and Xziyah Armani Tisdale; five grandsons- Eqwahjamere Kentrice Tisdale, Karson Demond Tisdale, Kevonte Studivant, Tristin and Tyler Booth; two sisters- Sylvia (Johnnie) Banks, LaCrosse, VA and Betty (Elijah) Carley, Brodnax, VA; two brothers- Lloyd H. and John Fitzgerald Jones, both of South Hill, VA; two sisters-in-law, devoted and best friend- Jennie V. (Alston) Ferguson, and Rebecca House, all of South Hill, VA; six aunts- Inell Jones, Frances A. Goode, Michelle and Mary Tisdale, Rosa Stone and Maccie Farrar; devoted friends- Sylvia Thomas, Michelle Holden, Kelly Wegman, Trudy Mooney, Diane Baskerville, Ida Jiggetts, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and other friends.

I am so sorry that COVID-19 will keep me from being able to attend Debbie's viewing and service. Everyone at Jackson Hewitt is heartbroken over her sudden passing. She was loved and appreciated by all our clients and employees. Debbie was an incredible friend to me, and I feel so blessed that she came into my life. I am so sorry to learn of Debbie's passing. I worked with her for many years at Hecht's and I loved her. I would see her from time to time at Walmart and really enjoyed our quick chats. She was one of my favorite co-workers. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I didn't know Mrs. Debbie long but she was a very sweet and kind person. She welcomed me to the Jackson Hewitt family with such care. She always had a smile and love to laugh.
