MR. DONNIE MACMILLIAN FARRAR, son of the late George Edward and Marjorie Cleveland Farrar was born May 16, 1957 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia and departed this life December 21, 2025 in VCU-Community Memorial Hospital, South Hill, Virginia. His daughter, Tykeerah Farrar, also preceded him in death.
At an early age Donnie was baptized and joined Temple Gate RZUA Church in South Hill, Virginia. Later on in life, he attended Sharon Baptist Church and sung in the gospel choir. He concentrated in the Mecklenburg County Public Schools.
In his spare time, he enjoyed singing and “the boy could sing”, drawing, and going to Food Lion shopping.
Donnie leaves to mourn four children- Donnaro, Andre, Linetta and Clarissa Farrar; numerous grandchildren; three sisters- Maxine F. Farrar and Benita Farrar of South Hill, Virginia and Linda Farrar of Boston, Massachusetts; devoted friends- John Bagley, Maurice Whitfield, Ruth Rainey, and Earl “Toe Joe” Joyner, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
