I grew up in Mayfield a community in Lawrenceville, VA. I really got to know George (Chicken) in my teens. I remember the first time I heard and danced to his band, Chicken and The Mayflies, a group of friends from Mayfield and South Brunswick. They were really good. I'll always have that memory in my heart. My condolences and prayers for George (Chicken ) family and friends. Rest In Peace, Always A Mayfielder!!!
