JAMES WALLACE LAMBERT, son of the late Albert Lee Lambert and Louise Jones Lambert was born December 4, 1958, in Mecklenburg County, VA and departed this life July 26, 2025, at his residence in South Hill, VA. He was also preceded in death by his siblings- Albert Lee, Willie, Katie Mae and Delores Lambert.

At an early age he was baptized and joined Flat Rock Baptist Church, South Hill, VA. He attended the Mecklenburg County Public Schools.

In his spare time, he loved dancing, listening to music, and having a good time with family and friends. James also enjoyed fishing and fixing lawn mowers. He was dedicated to checking on his family at least 2-3 times a week.

James is survived by six sisters- Dorothy L. Harris, Brodnax, VA; Patricia (Rudolph) Avent, Rosa Clary, and Sylvia Anderson, all of Richmond, VA; Doris Lambert of Winston Salem, NC and Brenda Lambert of Richmond, VA; five brothers- Thomas (Hazel) Lambert of Winston Salem, NC; Calvin (Viola) Lambert, Larry and Brian Lambert, all of Richmond, VA and George Rainey of South Hill, VA; a special friend- Linwood Baskerville of the home, and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
