JOSEPH EMMIT GREGORY, son of the late Sam and Estelle Rolfe Gregory, was born December 10, 1949 in South Hill, VA and departed this life September 5, 2026, in VCU-MCV Hospital, Richmond, VA.

Joseph was a graduate of the former East End High School. After graduation he enlisted into the U.S. Army serving from August 1969 to March 1970. He also served in the Reserve as SP4 until August 28, 1975.

Later Joseph was employed as a paralegal for Finchman Realtor Company for many years and later moved back home.

Joseph is survived by a son- Emmit Lamont Gregory Bacon of South Hill, VA; three sisters- Queen Gregory Young of the home; Gloria Harrison of LaCrosse, VA and Mary Woods of Plainfield, NJ; brother- Ernest (Ethel) Gregory of Landover, MD and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
