MORION WHITEHEAD LAMBERT, age 71, affectionately known as “Marie”, departed this life June 13, 2026 at her residence in Bracey, VA. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Pattie Hargrove Whitehead, who was born December 7, 1954, in Mecklenburg County, Virginia.
At an early age she was baptized at Roanoke Zion RZUA Church in Bracey, Virginia. She attended the Mecklenburg County Public Schools.
Morion was married to the late Jonah B. Lambert, Jr. She was employed as a laborer by International Veneer Corporation “IVC” for many years.
In her spare time, “Marie” enjoyed working on her flowers and gardening, visiting her family, and of course, caring for her grandchildren.
“Marie” leaves to cherish her memories: a daughter- Rose Ann Whitehead of Raleigh, North Carolina; three grandchildren- Jaden Williams, Kevonte and Kiara Jones, all of the home; a devoted friend- James Walton of the home; sister- Willie Mae Feggins of Raleigh, North Carolina; brother- Joe (Carla) Whitehead of Richmond, Virginia, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
