MR. JOSEPH OGBURN, affectionately called “Preacher” and “Teeny Feet,” son of the late Johnie and Susie Baker Ogburn was born February 18, 1943 in Mecklenburg County, VA and departed this life July 24, 2021 at his residence, Richmond, VA. He was also preceded in death by his siblings- Dora Fields, Ray and Irvin Ogburn.
At an early age he was baptized and joined Bethel Memorial RZUA Church. He attended the former East End High School.
Joseph married Josephine Elizabeth Tisdale on March 21, 1964 and to this union two daughters were born.
Joseph was employed by Interstate Construction Company for many years until his retirement in 2001.
Joseph leaves to mourn his devoted wife, Josephine Tisdale Ogburn of the home; two daughters- Elizabeth Ann Ogburn of the home; Linda (Danny) Bennett of Brodnax, VA; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; four sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
