MR. PETER SANTELL RAMIREZ, son of the late Manuel, Sr. and Jacovina Santell Ramirez was born November 19, 1932 in Bronx Lebanon Hospital in Bronx, NY and departed this life June 6, 2019 at his daughter home, Brodnax, VA.

He was raised in an orphanage as a Catholic and attended school in NY.

Peter was married to Shirley Walker and to this union twelve children were born, seven of whom preceded him in death. He was employed as a welder and painter, working for the Navy Shipyard in New York.

Peter later married Beulah Ramirez. After retirement he moved to Lawrenceville, VA.

After becoming ill he moved with his daughter in Brodnax, VA. He later became a member of Christian Antioch Church In Christ #5, Ebony, VA.

Peter leaves to mourn seven children- Gina (Arthur) Garner, Brodnax, VA; Gail Ramirez, Louisburg, NC; Jacqueline Ramirez, Greensboro, NC; Jeffrey Ramirez, Victoria, VA; Kim Ramirez, Emporia, VA; Paula Lofton-Boyd, LaCrosse, VA and David Battle, Brooklyn, NY; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; one brother- Manuel Ramirez, Jr, Queens, NY; devoted friends- the Harpers, and a host of cousins and friends.
