MRS. OTELIA SALLY LEWIS WILLIAMS, affectionately called “Tee”, was born to the late James Lewis and Otelia Brown Lewis on June 14, 1926 in Mecklenburg County, VA and danced to her heavenly home on January 2, 2021 at Petersburg Healthcare Center, Petersburg, VA. At an early age she was baptized and joined Temple Gate RZUA Church. She was a graduate of the former Mecklenburg County Training School. Otelia was married to the late James Lee Williams. She was also preceded in death by three of her four children: Estelle, Cornell “Carney”, and Robert, Jr.; an infant granddaughter- Candace; five sisters: Everline, Birdie Mae, Nannie, Rosa Lee and Almeta, and four brothers- Archer, David, Ed, and Jesse. She was employed as a Beautician, worked at the former Horse Shoe Restaurant, the Steak House and lastly, Community Memorial Hospital in Environmental Services until her retirement. Otelia greeted everyone with a kind word and a smile. She was a lover of music, walking, and an avid dancer. She enjoyed her Lance Cheese/Peanut Butter Crackers (Nabs), fruit and pudding cups, and soap operas, especially Peyton Place, Guiding Light, Edge of Night, and Dark Shadows. Otelia leaves to continue her forever legacy, a daughter- Pamela Williams (Rick) Mason, Midlothian, VA; sister- Gracie Duke, Alberta, VA; 15 grandchildren- Estelle Williams Holmes and Quianda S. Williams, South Hill, VA; Robert Williams, Petersburg, VA; Christina and Courtney Mason, Midlothian, VA; Mark Turner, Landover, MD; Audrey Sims, Raleigh, NC; Nadine Williams, Richmond, VA; Lakisha and Leah Williams, LaCrosse, VA; Tracey Davis and Myrna Moore, Charlotte, NC; Robert Nathan (Charnetta) Williams, Powhatan, VA; Calvin (Patricia) Powell, South Hill, VA and Raymond Powell, Atlanta Beach, VA; 22 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Clenette Boone Williams, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
