Mr. Nathaniel Ragsdale, better known as “Buck,” son of the late Houston and Juanita Talley Ragsdale-Johnson, was born on December 6, 1956, in Mecklenburg County Virginia, and departed this life on June 20, 2022. Nathaniel was reared by his grandparents, the late Mr. Daniel & Corrine Talley of Palmer Springs, Virginia. Nathaniel is preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Patricia Patterson and Ms. Adrian Ragsdale.

At an early age Nathaniel, accepted Christ as his Personal Savior and was baptized at the home church, Roanoke Chapel Christian Church.

“Buck” attended the public school system in Mecklenburg County, VA upon graduating he relocated to Baltimore Maryland and joined the Maryland National Guards.

On August 17, 2001, he was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mrs. Cheryl Ragsdale of Baltimore Maryland.

“Buck” enjoyed playing the harmonica and the keyboard. He was known as the ‘junk demolition man’ that made it happen.

He leaves to cherish his loving wife of twenty-one years, Cheryl of Baltimore, MD; two sons Carlos and Terrell Brown, of Baltimore, MD; three brothers, Pastor Mack Talley (Muriel),of Boydton, VA, Houston Ragsdale (Patrice), of South Hill, VA, and Eric Ragsdale (Judie) of Roanoke Rapids, NC; one granddaughter Addison Bailey Brown; aunts- Mary Irby and Lucille Moore both of Kenbridge, VA, Mary Sanford of Washington, DC; uncle- Booker T. Talley, of Sutherland, VA; and host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
