Obituary For Roger Lorenzo Moore "Lil Roger"

ROGER LORENZO MOORE, son of Iris Walker Moore and the late Royal Roger Moore, was born June 24, 1968 in Mecklenburg County, VA and departed this life suddenly, July 20, 2022 after a brief illness.

At an early age he was baptized and joined Bethel Memorial RZUA Church, LaCrosse, VA.

Roger was a 1986 graduate of Park View High School. After graduation he became employed with BGF Industries in Clarksville, VA where he worked for many years. He later started working at LaCrosse Cleaners. After their closing he worked at Pearce Cleaners and lastly Town and Country Cleaners until he became disabled.

Lil Roger as he was fondly called was a joyful, friendly person. He loved to be around family and friends, always wearing a smile on his face. In his spare time he loved to watch TV, go to cook-outs, taking his nieces and mother joy-riding and sight-seeing. He was the chauffer for the family also, taking them to Dr. appointments and on vacation. He also adored coaching his niece, Crystal at her softball games.

Lil Roger leaves to mourn his mother- Iris W. Moore, LaCrosse, VA; two nieces- Lauryn Brown and Crystal Bernice Gunner of LaCrosse, VA; three uncles- Arthur Walker, Jr., LaCrosse, VA; Lawrence (Marva) Moore, Bowie, MD and Howard Coles, Skipwith, VA; four aunts- Roberta Moore and Bernisa Moore of South Hill, VA; Patricia Moore, Riverdale, MD and Geraldine Moore, South Boston, VA; four great-aunts; two great-uncles, friend- Pat Boulden, and a host of cousins and other friends.

I wanna send my deepest condolences to the family. Roger and I graced the halls of PV years ago and it was never a dull moment with him. He smiled almost as much as I did even though we may not have had much but we had something that was always with us. The love of our family and close friends.
