A Life Well Lived

On September 21, 2026, Shalamar Monique Burton peacefully passed. She was born on April 25, 1990 in Charlottesville, VA to her parents Marietta Haskins and Benjamin Anderson. She was preceded in death by her son- Khi Bracey.

Shalamar was approximately three years old when her mother met her stepfather, Christopher Haskins. Her mother and family moved to Bracey, VA where she resided until her high school years. Shalamar graduated from Park View Senior High School. Afterwards, she became a certified CNA. Later on in life, she moved to Griffin, GA.

Shalamar was blessed with children. She started working as a dispatcher for a trucking company. She also adored traveling. She was so full of life and enjoyed people company. She loved her family and greeted everyone with a smile.

Shalamar is survived by three children- Sincere Burton, Khalee Burton, and Kari Bracey; grandson- Julius Delvalle; parents Marietta Haskins and Benjamin Anderson; stepfather- Christopher Haskins; three sisters- Porcha Burton, Shanice Burton, and Takeyda Wells; niece- Janiyah Haskell; two nephews- Tevantai Burton and Kayden Bright; a loving friend- Derek Bracey.
