MR. TRAVIS GERARD THOMPSON, son of Robert S. “Bobby” Thompson and the late Sandra Jiggetts Thompson was born September 16, 1979 in South Hill, VA and departed this life September 6, 2023 in Elizabeth Adams Crump Health and Rehab Center, Glenn Allen, VA.

At an early age he was baptized and joined Bethel Memorial RZUA Church. He was a 1997 graduate of the former Park View Senior High School. He later was employed as a crane operator for Eastern Metals, Fredericksburg, VA for many years until he became disabled.

Travis was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan and he enjoyed all kinds of sports. He loved to stay with his grandpa, Alvin, Sr.

Travis leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter- Taaliyah Thompson of Texas; father- Robert S. “Bobby” Thompson of South Hill, VA; two brothers- Schmann Thompson of Miami, FL and Marcus Watkins of Richmond, VA; sister- Tanglia “Tangie” (Rahsan) Deavers of VA Beach, VA; three aunts- Mary Thompson Walker, Carolyn Thompson Owens, and Mary Lucy Thompson, all of South Hill, VA; uncle- Kenneth Thompson of LaCrosse, VA; great aunt- Ercell Hargrove of South Hill, VA; great uncle- William Macklin of Beacon, NY and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
