Hilliard Daniel "Danny" Glover, Jr., passed away surrounded by love on October 6, 2025. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Hilliard Daniel Glover, Sr., and Georgia Cornelia Few-Glover. Danny was a man of many talents and even more nicknames—Sheep, Danny Boy, Lefty, Judy, and Greasy—each a reflection of the deep connections he formed throughout his life.
A proud graduate of Frederick Douglass High School and Morehouse College, Danny was a gifted athlete, musician, and mentor. He also shared his musical gifts at New Hope A.M.E. Church, where he played piano in his youth.
Danny leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and lasting impact. He is survived by his wife Patricia N. Glover, his children Danyelle Glover Starling (Robert) and Daniel Nicolas Glover, his mother-in-law Lorna Lewis, sister-in-law Pamela Freeman (Kier), uncle and godfather Ted R. Sparks, Sr., niece Jordan, and a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly.
A viewing will be held at Legacy Funeral Home at 8968 Fayetteville Road, Jonesboro, GA 30238, on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
The Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 12 noon at Allen Temple A.M.E. Church at 1625 Joseph E. Boone Boulevard, Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30314. The body will lie in state from 11:00 am until the Celebration hour.
Interment will follow the Celebration at Westview Cemetery at 1680 Westview Drive, Southwest Atlanta, GA 30310.

To the family of Danny Glover, I offer my condolences and true sympathies. I worked with Danny when I was with the Atlanta Public Schools. I worked in HR and he in Informational Technology. He was a pleasant young man and everybody like him. May he rest in peace.
