Mr. Jimmie Lee Ruth Jr., age 71, of Atlanta (formerly of Ashtabula, Ohio) transitioned October 22, 2025. Celebration of Life for Mr. Ruth will be Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 11 am at Lincoln Cemetery Chapel (2275 Joseph E. Boone Blvd NW, Atlanta GA 30314). The body will lie in state from 10 am until the Celebration hour. Mr. Ruth will be Entombed following the Celebration.
Viewing for Mr. Jimmie Lee Ruth Jr. will take place on Friday, November 7, 2025 at Murray Brothers Funeral Home (1199 Utoy Springs Rd SW, Atlanta, GA 30331) from 3 pm until 8 pm.

It's been a pleasure and journey being in the life of Jimmie "Jam" Ruth. We not only sang together in groups, background for other musicians, etc., but from day 1, he became more than my friend. He was my big brother. I'm going to miss his amazing musical gifts, his laugh, great conversations, text msgs, etc., but I'm going to wholeheartedly miss his presence on this Earth. Everything that I've done musically in Atlanta, has all stemmed from knowing him. Sleep in Peace, Bro. Love you always.
