Harriet was my first friend. I have many fond memories, the most vivid being Harriet and me traveling to or from our houses via the trail. As I reflect, I realize not only was she my first friend but she was also the only pure friend I have ever had- no hidden agenda, just two kids loving each other just because we were privileged to do so. It's funny how most realizations come retrospectively. I will see you later alligator, after while crocodile.
