Obituary For Albert Ray Dossman

OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Amazon Kingdom-Focused Church, 411 N. Chestnut St., Bunkie, LA for Mr. Albert Ray Dossman, 70, who entered eternal rest on Friday, July 5, 2024 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA. Interment will be in Christian Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Bunkie, LA.

Rev. Dexter J. Compton, Sr. will be officiating the funeral service. Mr. Dossman was a member of Christian Missionary Baptist Church. He served as the church custodian, cemetery upkeeper and an all around servant.

Mr. Dossman’s memories are being cherished by: four brothers, Charles Compton of Gardenia, CA, Cedell (Jean) Compton, Jr. of Tyler, TX, Frederick Wayne (Terra) Dossman of Bunkie, LA and Warren Todd (Angela) Dossman, Sr. of Pineville, LA; two sisters, Ruth Ann Simon and Rita Gail Dossman, both of Cottonport, LA; his Loving Life Companion, Pamela Evans of Bunkie, LA; one bonus daughter, Tyiescia Evans of Bunkie, LA; one God son, Canard Harris of Bunkie, LA; three bonus grandchildren, Ronneirik Evans, Ronisha Evans and Trenton Evans, all of Bunkie, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Cedell and Gertchie Lee Wade Dossman; one brother, Winston Charles Dossman, Sr.; and one sister, Bertha Mary Dossman.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Amazon Kingdom -Focused Church.

Praying for all those who loved Albert, a man of few words but a big Heart. I met Albert when I would come to Evergreen to buy sweet potatoes. Albert would find out who had the best potatoes for a reasonable price. I'm going to miss Albert but I know he is at Peace. Your friends from Katy, Tx and Humble, Tx Betty and Lillie
