Obituary For Alfred Williams

OPELOUSAS – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Holy Ghost Parish Life Center in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Alfred Williams, 79, who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point, LA. Interment will be in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church Cemetery in Grand Coteau, LA.

Rev. Justin Arockiasamy, S.V.D., will be the celebrant at the Mass of Christian burial.

Mr. Williams’ memories are being cherished by: his two sons, Alfred Cornell Williams and Gregory Williams; two brothers, Raphael (Barbara) Williams and John Darryl (Veronica) Williams; two sisters, Wilma Simien (Charles) and Mary Zachary (Patrick); ; three grandsons and two granddaughters; one God daughter; his former spouse Cynthia, who he remained close with until his passing; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Lucille Williams.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA.
