OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Community Chapel Church of God In Christ, 1606 W. College Ave., Opelousas, LA for Mr. Alvin Broussard, Jr., 38, who entered eternal rest on September 24, 2026 in California.

Rev. Frank L. Ford will be officiating the funeral service.

Mr. Broussard’s memories are being cherished by: his two daughters, A’Mia Broussard of Palmetto, LA and Khaja Dugas of Rayne, LA; mother, Theresa Chachere of California; father, Alvin Broussard, Sr. and bonus mother, Vickie Broussard, both of Opelousas, LA; one brother, Marvin Bellard of Lafayette, LA; one sister, Tiffany Ross (James) of Orange, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his maternal grandparents, Nerey and Nellie Chachere; paternal grandparents, Alton and Vivian Lavergne Broussard, Sr.; and Godparents, Donald Goodwin and Rose Broussard.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Community Chapel Church of God In Christ.
