Obituary For Anthony Nix

WASHINGTON – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 414 E. Mitchell Street, Washington, LA for Mr. Anthony Nix, 94, who entered eternal rest on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at his residence in Plaisance, LA.

Fr. Corey Campeaux will be officiating the funeral mass.

Mr. Nix’s memories are being cherished by: his three sons, Jacob Nix, Jessie (Anna) Nix and Willie (Lillie) Nix, all of Plaisance, LA; three daughters, Ruby Milton of Vinton, LA, Janice Nix-Victorian (Wilford) of Opelousas, LA and Sherry Nix of Plaisance, LA; two sisters, Leola Nix of Grand Prairie, LA and Theresa Taylor of Lacassine, LA; two Godchildren, Berna Oladopo of Atlanta, GA and Deola Tillman of Vinton, LA; twenty-one grandchildren; sixty great grandchildren; fourteen great great grandchildren; and a host of bonus great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his spouse, Lee Anna Tezeno-Nix; his parents, Jake and Louise Fruge-Nix; three sons, Roland Nix, Ronnie Nix and Wayne Nix; one daughter, Rose Fournier; one brother, Leroy Nix; one sister, Ophelia Ledet; one son-in-law, Peter Roy Milton; one grandson, Al Fournier; and one great grandson, Christopher Milton, II.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. following with the closing prayer at 10:00 a.m.
