Obituary For Arthur Ryan, Sr.
OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Arthur Ryan, Sr., 71, who entered eternal rest on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Amelia Manor in Lafayette, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.
Pastor Corey Freeman will be officiating the funeral service.
Mr. Ryan’s memories are being cherished by: two grandsons, Arthur Ryan, III and Bryan Ryan; one brother, Ralph Leday of Opelousas, LA; three sisters, Cindy Long of Lafayette, LA, Leslie Poullard of Ville Platte, LA and Diana Lyons of Dallas, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his wife, Irene Winbush Ryan; mother, Hilda Leday; one son, Arthur Ryan, Jr.; one daughter, Peggy Ryan; one brother, David Leday; and an aunt, Gladys Lyons.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
