Obituary For Beatrice Roberts

OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Community Chapel Church of God In Christ, 1606 W. College Ave., Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Beatrice Roberts, 70, who entered eternal rest on Monday, July 1, 2024 at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Rev. Clarence Lazard will be officiating the funeral service.

Mrs. Roberts’ memories are being cherished by: her son, Albert (Thelma) Roberts, Sr. of Opelousas, LA; three grandchildren, Allaina Robert, Ariyanna Roberts and Albert Roberts, Jr., all of Opelousas, LA; three brothers, Herman Lee (Ester) of Lafayette, LA, Wilbert (Emma) Lafountaine and Victor (Rosalyn) Lafountain, Jr., both of Opelousas, LA; one sister, Darla Lafountaine of Opelousas, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Alvin Roberts; her parents, Victor and Mable Thomas Lafountaine; six brothers, Phillip Lafountaine, Jessie Lafountaine, Marshall Lafountaine, Robert Lafountaine, Henry Lee Lafountaine and Herman Lafountaine; and one sister, Dorothy Mae Lafountaine Batiste.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Community Chapel Church of God In Christ.
