OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Greater Live Oak Baptist Church, 923 Foster St., Opelousas, LA for Ms. Beulah Glover Vidito Richard, 86, who entered eternal rest on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA.

Pastor Jason Rubin, Sr. will be officiating the funeral service.

Ms. Richard’s memories are being cherished by: five sons, Robert (Romona) Glover (Ramona), John (Cookee) Vidito, J. Tyrone Glover, Mark Richard and Christopher (Melissa) Richard, all of Opelousas, LA; four daughters, Paula Johnson (Leroy), Pamela Eaglin, Angela Franklin (Robert) and Felicia Glover (Peter), all of Opelousas, LA; one brother, Jonathan Glover of New Orleans, LA; one bonus son, Congressman Clay Higgins; two bonus daughters, Samantha Lazard (Carlos) of Opelousas, LA and Nickie Wheeler Henry (Quintin) of Church Point, LA; one Godchild, Johnathan Major of Opelousas, LA; fifty grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her parents, Joseph and Sovelia Orville Glover; one son, Michael K. Richard; two daughters, Myra Richard and Patricia Vidito; two brothers, Golden Glover and Earest Taylor; five sisters, Margaret Anderson, Josephine Glover, Olevia Mayo, Ethel Roberts and Pearl Rice; five grandchildren, Alexia Kenkide Joubert, John Q. Davis, Greyson Vidito, Ar’Mhiyah Joubert and Isaiah Johnson; four nephews, Michael Fontenot, Jonathan Anderson, Gerard Mayo and Phillip Anderson; and one niece, Sylvia “Ginger” Williams.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Greater Live Oak Baptist Church.
