Obituary For Bronston R. Drew

OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025 at Community Chapel Church of God In Christ, 1606 W. College Ave., Opelousas, LA for Mr. Bronston Ray Drew, 62, who entered eternal rest on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Interment will be in Southwest Veterans Cemetery in Jennings, LA.

Rev. Frank L. Ford will be officiating the funeral service.

Mr. Drew’s memories are being cherished by: his wife, Jennifer Wheeler-Drew of Church Point, LA; his mother, Cloverreno Drew of Hyattsville, MD; one son, Juan Drew of Washington, DC; three daughters, Latoya Drew and Tiffany Grant, both of Washington, DC and Nevaeh Drew of Church Point, LA; two sisters, Tangela Coffee of Indian Land, SC and Terry Drew of Washington, DC; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his father, Phillip Ray Drew; maternal grandparents, Peyton and Virginia Massie; paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Doris Drew; and one grandson, Zion Hayes.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Community Chapel Church of God In Church.
