MORROW - Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at St. Luke Baptist Church in Morrow, LA for Mr. Calhoun Alfred, Jr., 63, who entered eternal rest on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte, LA. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Rev. Murphy Riggs will be officiating the funeral service.
Mr. Alfredβs memories are being cherished by: his loving wife of 30 years, Dianne Alfred of Morrow, LA; two sons, LaKendrick Alfred and Derrick Alfred, both of Bunkie, LA; three daughters, Kayla Alfred and LaKeisha Alfred, both of Bunkie, LA and Sharonda Randall of Houston, TX; one grandson he raised, Jatorrian Alfred, Sr. of Bunkie, LA; one brother, Reginald (Shawanna) Alfred of Port Arthur, TX; four sisters, Sharon Carter (Richard) of Humble, TX, Carol Jackson (Harold) of Beaumont, TX, Patsy Joseph (Darren) and Pamela Joseph (Kelvin), both of Morrow, LA; twenty-six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, Calhoun and Annie Brown Alfred, Sr.; one sister, Nettie Lois Alfred; mother-in-law, Margaret Mouton, one grandson, Detravion Burnett, Sr.; one great granddaughter, Zuri Washington; and one great grandson, Jyrein Alfred.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at St. Luke Baptist Church.
