Obituary For Catherine Young

LEMOYEN - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Plymouth Rock Baptist Church, 162 Plymouth Rock Loop, Morrow, LA for Mrs. Catherine Young, 82, who entered eternal rest on Saturday, April 17, 2021 in Baton Rouge, LA. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Rev. Murphy Riggs will be officiating the funeral service.

Cherishing Mrs. Young’s memories are: two sons, Ivory (Nicole) Young, Jr. of Coral Springs, FL and Rev. Michael Grimes of Opelousas, LA; two daughters, Courtney Young and Kathy Young, both of St. Francisville, LA; one brother, John Wright of Bunkie, LA; one sister, Audray Howard of Atlanta, GA; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Ivory Young, Sr. and her parents, David and Lourena Johnson Grimes.

Visitation will be on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Plymouth Rock Baptist Church.
