Obituary For Cathryn "Kat" Wilson Grant

CROWLEY - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 417 W. 3rd St., Crowley, LA for Ms. Cathryn Wilson Grant, affectionately known as “Kat”, 79, who entered eternal rest on Saturday, September 4, 2021 surrounded by loved ones in Crowley, LA. Interment will be in South Crowley Cemetery.

Fr. Mark Odoguje will be officiating the funeral mass. Ms. Grant was a lifelong member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Legion of Mary, Proclaimed Eucharist Ministry and Lector.

Ms. Grant leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Troy Grant, Sr. of Crowley, LA; two daughters, Katrina Wilson Okolie of Dallas, TX and Alicia Carter of Slidell, LA; one brother, Benjamin Wilson of Georgia; one sister, Rose Marie Guillory of Lake Charles, LA; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her parents, Alton and Malinda Pitre Wilson; one daughter, Melinda Wilson Pickens; two brothers, Alton Wilson, Jr. and Mervin Wilson, Sr.; and one sister, Jean Catherine Wilson.

Viewing will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Crowley, LA. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m.
