Obituary For Celestine F. Thierry

OPELOUSAS – Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas, LA for Ms. Celestine F. Thierry, 82, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Senior Village Nursing Home in Opelousas, LA. Interment will immediately follow.

Fr. Justin Arockiasamy, SVD will be officiating the graveside service.

Ms. Thierry’s memories are being cherished by: five brothers, Floyd S. (Mildred) Thierry of Opelousas, LA, Ferdinand Thierry, Sr. and Michael (Pearl) Thierry, both of Beaumont, TX, Roland Thierry of Lake Charles, LA and Wilbert (Beatte) Berry of Germany; one Godchild, Jonathan Green of Alaska; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Thierry of Opelousas, LA and Shirley Berry of Baton Rouge, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her parents, Mr. Eddie Thierry and Mrs. Lillian Frank Thierry; four brothers, Edward Thierry, Jr., Clarence Joseph Thierry, Paul Larry Thierry and Clint Berry; and six sisters, Mary Levia Richard, Gertrude Thierry, Loretta Carter, Agnes Thibodeaux, Melba Lavergne and Peggy Thierry.
