Obituary For Dallas Sam, Jr.

OPELOUSAS – A Celebration of Life will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Greater Union Baptist Church, 1494 Hwy 742, Opelousas, LA for Mr. Dallas Joseph Sam, Jr., 61, who entered eternal rest on Friday, September 19, 2025 in Opelousas, LA.

Rev. Patrick Lavergne will be officiating the celebration of life.

Mr. Sam’s memories are being cherished by: his spouse, Mrs. Jennifer Roberts Sam of Opelousas, LA; one son, Dustin Savoy of Ruston, LA; four daughters, Soniqua Janise, Ishieka Griffin and LaStacia Griffin, all of Opelousas, LA and Kalyn S. Harrison (Jhanell) of Dallas, TX; four stepsons, Chris, Tyrone, Brandon (Shannon) and D’Andre Roberts, all of Opelousas, LA; two brothers, Alvin Gene Guidry and Christopher (Anette) Guidry, both of Opelousas, LA; three sisters, Debra Sam and Paula Bernard (Charles), both of Opelousas, LA and Rose Chaission (Wilson) of Lafayette, LA; seven grandchildren; sixteen step grandchildren; three special brothers/friends, J. Tyrone Glover, John Vidito and Christopher Richard; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Dallas Sam, Sr. and Isabella Guidry Sam; one sister, Katherine Sam; and one nephew, Marcus D. Sam.
