ABBEVILLE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 300 Pere Megret St., Abbeville, LA at 1:00 p.m. for Mrs. Deon Michelle Williams-Prejean, affectionately known by her family and friends as “Mama Dee”, 49, who entered eternal rest on Monday, August 19, 2024 at her residence in Washington, LA. Interment will be in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery in Abbeville, LA.

Fr. Albert will celebrate the mass.

Mrs. Prejean’s memories are being cherished by: her husband, Quentin A. Prejean of Washington, LA; her mother, Betty J. Vallot-Williams of San Diego, CA; one son, DeQuintin Royal Prejean of Washington, LA; one daughter, Jaloni Tana Howard of Lafayette, LA; one brother, Joseph Williams, Jr. of Houston, TX; two sisters, Karen Cormier (Dexter) of Las Vegas, NV and Debra Wuilkins of Phoenix, AZ; one granddaughter, Jalayah Tezeno of Lafayette, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Alton Williams, Sr. and her nephew, Jayden Williams Gillespie.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
