OPELOUSAS – A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home for Mr. Dezria “Pete” Bazile, Jr., 77, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at his residence in Bunkie, LA.
Rev. Donald Tibbs, Pastor of Old Zion Missionary Baptist in Cottonport, LA, will officiate the celebration of life.
Mr. Bazile’s memories are being cherished by: three sons, Reginald Bazile of Evergreen, LA. William Kirk (Delores) Bazile of Woodbridge, VA and Dr. DiNardo (Kenisha) Bazile of Humble, TX; their mother, Ester Scott Bazile of Morrow, LA; four grandchildren, JaMarcus (Chasity) Williams of Lake Charles, LA, Jaylon (Marylou), Kennedy and Brooklyn Bazile of Humble, TX; five great-grandchildren, Abryn, Nevaeh, Dekotah, Willow and Jaycen; a brother, George (Debra) Bazile of Lecompte, LA; four sisters, Dorothy (Carl) Halls of Pineville, LA, Gertrude Walls of Baton Rouge, LA, Lucinda Brumfield of Garland, TX and Diane Bazile of Bunkie, LA; a sister-in-law, JoAnn Bazile; two aunts, Irma C. Wiley of Bunkie, LA and Eva C. Scott of Palmetto, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, Dezria & Roberta Bazile, Sr.; grandparents, Oins & Lucinda Bazile and George & Rosa Chenevert Wiley; a sister, Evelyn Rose Alfred; brothers, Robert and Samuel Bazile; wife, Patsy Espree Bazile; and brothers-in-law, Curley Flynn Alfred, James Walls, Jr. and Jason Brumfield; and a host of aunts, uncles and other dearly beloved relatives.
