Obituary For Earl Daniel

OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Greater Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 134 C Alley, Opelousas, LA for Mr. Earl Daniel, 72, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at his residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be held in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Rev. Marcus Lazard will be officiating the funeral service whereas Rev. William Elmore is the Pastor.

Mr. Daniel’s memories are being cherished by: his son, Albert Earl Denton of Opelousas, LA; one daughter, Kissey Mae Denton of Opelousas, LA; one brother, Charles (Barbara) Mitchell of Houston, TX; one sister, Emily Daniels of Opelousas, LA; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Elvia Daniel, Sr. and Evelina Raymond Daniel; six brothers, Elvia Daniel, Jr., Abraham Raymond, Frank Daniel; Marshall Daniel, Bud Daniel and Eddie Daniel; two sisters, Juanita Daniel and Valarie Drew; and the mother of his children, Catherine Marie Denton.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Greater Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Hope Hospice and all of their family and friends who called and prayed for them during their time of bereavement.
