OPELOUSAS – A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Greater Shiloh Baptist Church in Opelousas, LA for Ms. Earma Jane Robinson, 65, who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at her residence in Opelousas, LA.
Ms. Robinson’s memories are being cherished by: her daughter, LaKethia Rachelle Robinson-Joseph (Travis) of Opelousas, LA; bonus daughter, Latashia Rubin (Lydell) of Opelousas, LA; six brothers, Willrey (Shirley) Robinson, Jr., Shawn Kevin Robinson, Fabian Mitchell, Derrick (Lucinda) Mitchell and Erick Mitchell, all of Washington, LA and Donald Robinson (April Broussard) of Lake Charles, LA; three sisters, Linda Fontenot of Palmetto, LA, Jacueline Charles (David) of Opelousas, LA and Meredith Mitchell of Grand Coteau, LA; paternal aunts, Mary Robinson and Savannah Greer, both of Washington, LA; maternal aunts, Majorie Johnson (James) and Dixie Wilson (Larry), both of Houston, TX; four grandchildren, Tra’Vonte Joseph, Tyriana Joseph, Ti’Armoni Joseph and Jayden Manuel, all of Opelousas, LA; three great grandchildren, Ja’Khai Andrus, Za’Mir Joseph and Hazley Thomas, all of Opelousas, LA; three God children, Miguel Fontenot, Anita Jones and Heather Manuel; and a host of relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, Wilrey Robinson, Sr. and Mary N. Robinson; one brother, Darrel W. Robinson; twin sisters, Marshall and Monica Robinson; and grandparents, Henry “Big Pop” Robinson and Teenie “Big Mama” Offord Robinson.

This is a hard pill to swallow , Mrs Earma Jane Robinson was that woman that can cook soul food good breakfast and everything and always dressed to kill . And we just had a wonderful conversation a few months ago and always had me laughing bout everything my nanny will truly be missed I loved her so much to her daughter mom talked well bout you guys and her beautiful granddaughters and grandson was the world to her and her sisters . Hold y'all head up strong mom pains is over with she lived her life well
