Obituary For Eddie Martin, Sr.

OPELOUSAS – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Eddie Martin, Sr., 94, who entered eternal rest on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at his residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be held in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Fr. Justin Arockiasamy, SVD will be officiating the funeral mass.

Mr. Martin was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Motorcycle Club.

Mr. Martin’s memories are being cherished by: his two sons, Eddie (Stella) Martin, Jr. of Opelousas, LA and Patrick (Pauline) Martin of Maurice, LA; three daughters, Priscilla A. Lewis of Houston, TX, Mary E. Martin of Wichita Falls, TX and Kassandra F. Hall of San Antonio, TX; two brothers, Leo Paul Motte and Barry (Rachel) Motte, both of Houston, TX; one sister, Joyce Bias of Lake Charles, LA; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his wife, Mary Delores Martin; two sons, Donald Ray Martin and Francis James Martin; his parents, Leo Motte and ReElla Harrison Martin; three brothers, Issac Martin, Lionel Motte, Sr. and Clayton Motte; and five brothers, Leola Motte, Mary Isabella Motte-Lastrapes, Ruth Ann Motte-Simien, Anita Motte Guillory and Jacqueline Autrey.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
