Obituary For Elton Leday

OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Elton Leday, 56, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 23, 2023 in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in St. Mark Baptist Church Cemetery in Plaisance, LA.

Rev. Frank L. Ford, Pastor of Community Chapel Church of God In Christ, will be officiating the funeral service.

Mr. Leday leaves to cherish his memories: three brothers, Milton Leday and Hilton (Christine) Leday, both of Opelousas, LA and Harry Leday of Washington, LA; two sisters, Ezola Leday of Opelousas, LA and Joyce Harrison (Willis) of Beggs, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Mr. Leday is preceded in death by: his parents, Mr. Sterling and Edolia Leday; maternal grandparents; and paternal grandparents.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
