Obituary For Freddie Albert

OPELOUSAS– Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Greater Live Oak Baptist Church in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Freddie Albert, affectionately known by his family and friends as “Slim”, 71, who entered eternal rest on Monday, March 25, 2024 at Senior Village Nursing Home in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Greater Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Rev. Gerald Toussaint, Pastor of Morning Star Baptist Church and Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service.

Mr. Albert’s memories are being cherished by: his two brothers, Charles Albert, Sr. and Donald (Nan) R. Albert, both of Houston, TX; two sisters, Rose Hunt and Monica Lewis (James), both of Opelousas, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Hammond and Leola Davis Albert, Sr.; two brothers, Hammond Albert, Jr. and David Albert; and one sister, Baby Albert.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Greater Live Oak Baptist Church.
