Obituary For George Richardson
OPELOUSAS – A Celebration of Life will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mr. George Richardson, 68, who entered eternal rest on Friday, March 10, 2023 at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas, LA.
Mr. Richardson leaves to cherish his memories: his loving companion, Rita Lafleur of Opelousas, LA; four sons, George Lafleur (Rich Nguyen) of Opelousas, LA, Earl (Jacinta) Lafleur of Shreveport, LA, Gregory Richardson and Christopher Richardson, both of Crowley, LA; two daughters, Courtney Battiste of New Orleans, LA and a step daughter Antwanette Lafleur of Beaumont, TX; two brothers, Jerome (Barbara) Richardson and Charles (Wanda) Richardson, both of Opelousas, LA; three sisters, Mary Pickens of Opelousas, LA, Louis Jean Hardiman of Houston, TX and Anna Belle Chatman (Rogers); ten grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Mr. Richardson is preceded in death by: his parents, Albert and Madeline Richardson; one brother, James Richardson; and four sisters, Rose Mary Taylor, Lillie Mae Clay, Betty Lou Edmond and Rodin Richardson.
The family wishes to express a sincere thanks to Steve Augustine and his God son Akeem Lafleur.
