Obituary For George Roy "June" Richard, Jr.

EUNICE- Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Word Ministries, 1960 W. Laurel Ave., Eunice, LA for Mr. George Roy “June” Richard, Jr., 60, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Willis-Knighton Health System in Shreveport, LA. Interment will be in Reed’s Cemetery in Mamou, LA.

Pastor Caleb Semien of Word Ministries will be officiating the funeral service.

Mr. Richard leaves to cherish his memories: his father, George Richard, Sr. of Mamou, LA; two sons, Durel (Joddea) Richard of Lafayette, LA and Santana Durgan of Mamou, LA; one daughter, Kammie Semien (Jarvis) of Mamou, LA; three brothers, Terry (Martha) Richard and Dexter Richard, both of Mamou, LA and Michael Richard of Basile, LA; two sisters, Susie Richard (Wilfred) of Mamou, LA and Katina Serie (Roy) of Ville Platte, LA; his companion, Dorothy Alexander; ten grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his mother, Versa Lee Richard; his former spouse, Tammy Williams Richard; paternal grandparents, Lucius Richard and Lovenia Richard; and maternal grandmother, Mary LaRose.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Word Ministries.
