OPELOUSAS – A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Gerard N. Richard, 41, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 13, 2025 in Baton Rouge, LA.
Pastor Lenneth Rubin will be officiating the celebration of life.
Mr. Richard’s memories are being cherished by: his mother, Dorothy Clark Toliver of Church Point, LA and his step father, Randy Thomas of Church Point, LA; one bonus son, Anthony Carrier; two bonus daughters, Shawnetta Carrier and Precious Johnson, both of Church Point, LA; one brother, Leroy Richard, Jr. of Church Point, LA; one sister, Bridgette Richard of Church Point, LA; four bonus sisters, Fenisha Johnson, Stacy Thomas, Kyra Williams and Shauna Johnson, all of Church Point, LA; five bonus grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his father Leroy Joseph Richard, Sr.; two brothers, Keith Richard and Shawn Johnson; paternal grandparents, Elmo Richard and Mary Lee Richard; maternal grandfather, John Guidry, maternal grandmother, Carrie Mouton and step grandfather, Herbert Mouton; three uncles, Darryl Richard, Gerard Richard and Wallace Clark; and two aunts, Gwendolyn Richard and Shirley Lewis.
