OPELOUSAS – Private viewing service for the IMMEDIATE FAMILY ONLY will be held on Monday, April 6, 2020 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Gloria Porter, 77, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at at her residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in St. Mark Baptist Church Cemetery in Plaisance, LA.

Mrs. Porter leaves to cherish her memories: one brother, Fredrick Thierry (Joyce) of Houston, TX; one sister, Annie Chenier of Plaisance, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lewis Porter and Irving “Jeep” Bostace and her parents, Freddie and Annie Jagneaux Thierry.

The family would like to special acknowledge Mrs. Porter’s Godchildren, Ashley Porter and Mark Thierry and her caretaker, Katina Authorlee.
