OPELOUSAS - Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Harriet A. Major, 37, who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA. Interment will be Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA. Rev. Frank L. Ford will be officiating the funeral service.
Mrs. Major leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Leo Major of Opelousas, LA; her parents, Harold Senegal of Elton, LA and Peggy Broussard (Herbert) of Opelousas, LA; five sons, Angello, Julien, Corey, Kody and Leo Major, Jr., all of Opelousas, LA; one daughter, Shianne Major of Opelousas, LA; two brothers, Joseph Harold Senegal, Jr. and Kevin James Senegal, both of Elton, LA; two sisters, Sheila Marie Senegal of Opelousas, LA and Mary Parker (Dewayne) of Lafayette, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her grandmother, Ella Mae Golf; her father-in-law, Herman J. Bertrand; two uncles, Nathaniel Williams and Timothy Golf; and three aunts, Patricia Johnson, Winnie Golf and Marie Cylus.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
