Obituary For Harry Tyler, Sr.
OPELOUSAS - Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Harry Tyler, Sr., 94, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 15, 2020 in Houston, TX. Interment will be in Myrtle Grove Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.
Rev. Tyronne Tyler will be officiating the funeral service.
Mr. Tyler leaves to cherish his memories: three sons, Harry Joseph Tyler, Jr. (Theresa), Rev. Tyronne Tyler (Melissa) and Raphael James Tyler; twenty-two grandchildren, Aaron Hicks, Jr., Kadera Hicks, Danielle Serialle, Tynesheca Lazard, Tyesheca Lazard, Tawaski Gabriel, Earl Lafleur, Samantha Coleman, Josh Kennerson, Triston Guidry, Tasha Simmons, Desi Davis, Quesa Tyler, Harry Tyler, II, Natasha Jolivette, Monica Oatis, James Wilson, Roshawnda Shinard, Aneisha Wilson, Carlonda Gallow, Lawrence Gallow and Kyla Heinzen; and a host of great grandkids, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his wife, Mary Evelyn Williams Tyler; his parents, Alice Biagase Tyler and Eddie Joseph Tyler, Sr.; his daughter, Joyce Marie Hicks; his grandson, Tyradell Hicks; two brothers, Eddie Tyler, Jr. and Aaron Tyler; and his sister, Lula Mae Tyler Stelly.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
