Obituary For Herbert Denton

OPELOUSAS – A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at St. Mark United Methodist Church in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Herbert Lee Denton, 62, who entered eternal rest on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Amelia Manor Nursing Home in Lafayette, LA.

Mr. Denton’s memories are being cherished by: his son, Herbert D. Denton of Lake Charles, LA; one bonus daughter, Mallory Chatman of Lake Charles, LA; one sister, Patty Chenier of Opelousas, LA; one nephew, Darrell Denton of Ridgeland, SC; three nieces, Majorie (Steven) Keys, Gwendolyn Denton and Phyllis Chenier, all of Opelousas, LA; one great niece, Savannah Denton; and a host of relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his wife, Lisa Denton; his mother, Beulah Denton; aunt who raised him, Lou Bertha Denton; one sister, Nellie Denton; one brother-in-law, Roscoe Chenier; one nephew, Derrick Denton; three uncles; and six aunts.
