Obituary For Isaac Martin
OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Isaac Martin, 89, who entered eternal rest on Friday, July 21, 2023 at Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.
Fr. Justin Arockiasamy, S.V.D., will be officiating the funeral mass.
Mr. Martin’s memories are being cherished by: two sons, Terry (Angie) Martin of Dallas, TX and Larry (Dan) Martin of Rancho Mirage, CA; one daughter, Connie Martin of Opelousas, LA; three brothers, Eddie Martin, Sr. of Opelousas, LA, Leo Paul Motte and Barry (Rachel) Motte, both of Houston, TX; two sisters, Joyce Bias of Lake Charles, LA and Jacqueline Autrey of Houston, TX; two grandchildren, Allayna Allen and Alexis Martin; a special nephew, Jeffery Fontenot of Opelousas, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his wife, Savilia Malveaux Martin; his parents, Leo and ReElla Harrison Motte; two brothers, Lionel Motte, Sr. and Clayton Motte; and four sisters, Leola Motte, Mary “Isabella” Motte Lastrapes, Ruth Ann Motte Simien and Anita Motte Guillory.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited.
